When you get more comfortable making medister sausages, you can experiment with using less fat, cheese, adding more of your favorite spices or replacing lard with potatoes and the like. The only limit is your imagination. However, you should be aware that the lower the fat content, the drier the sausages will be.\n\nThe spice blends are manufactured by Moguntia A\/S, a well-reputed supplier of products to many of Denmark's delicatessens and butchers. Their proven products give sausages a tasty and good consistency.\n\nStorage: Cool and dry at max. 25 C. After opening the bag, it is recommended that any excess spice mixture be stored in the refrigerator until the next sausage production.\n\nNOTE: Remember to blanch fresh herbs, garlic and the like before adding them to the medister sausages, as they can otherwise cause unwanted bacterial growth.\n\nDosage: 70 grams\/kg sausage mass.
