Cork stopper, natural cork, 1st quality, 45 mm x 24 mm
Recommended for wines to be stored for 6-8 years.

All our natural cork stoppers are made from whole pieces of natural bark from the cork oak. The cork used is classified into 4 qualities: Super, 1st class, 2nd class and 3rd class.

The better the quality of the stopper, the longer the wine can be aged. The lower the quality, the more holes, cracks and other defects it has.

Stoppers made of natural cork are softer than stoppers made of pressed cork or synthetic stoppers. Note that there are also stoppers on the market with a diameter of only 22 or 23 mm. This is misleading, as each mm here corresponds to approx. 10% cork. For natural cork stoppers with a diameter of less than 24 mm, there is a risk that the wine oxidises unfavourably and becomes undrinkable.
