Refractometer for measuring the sugar content of must, juice and mash in just 2 seconds (measuring time 1.5 seconds).
Scales:
Brix: 0-50%
Oechsle: 0-230°
KMW: 0 to 42°
Temperature: 0-80 °C (32-176 °F).
Measures Brix (Brix % is a unit that indicates grams of sugar per 100 grams of fruit solution, giving a good indication of the fruit's sweetness/ripeness).
Scale divisions: 0.1% Brix / 1 °Oechsle / 0.1 °KMW / 0.1 °C (0.1 °F).
Accuracy: ±0.2% Brix, 1 °Oechsle, ±0.2 °KMW, ±0.3 °C (±0.5 °F).
Simply drip a few drops of liquid onto the sensor and take the reading.
The refractometer is calibrated for measurements at 20 °C, with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) between 10 and 40 °C.
Calibrate with distilled water.
Battery-powered: 9 V battery included (good for approx. 5,000 measurements).
