Description
An innovative, clever concept for storing both unpasteurised and pasteurised apple juice.
The pouch can be filled at high temperatures (up to 80 °C), so you can fill it straight from the pasteuriser. The pouches can therefore be used for long-term storage of apple juice.
Fitted with a handle, so it's ready to take juice to work or into the woods, to give as a hostess gift or to sell on.
The pouch is free-standing (it can stand on its own on the table) as it has gussets at both the top and the bottom.
The patented Vitop® Compact tap and the flexible pouch ensure that no air reaches the contents while dispensing. This means there is no oxidation when you pour, and the contents will keep for several weeks after opening as long as they're kept reasonably cool.
The pouch can also be frozen if you want to store unpasteurised juice in the freezer, as the pouches are stackable. Fill with 2.9 l so there is room for expansion during freezing. After thawing, pour the juice into a jug.
Pouch-up® pouches are unbreakable yet extremely light and have an incredibly low carbon footprint compared with glass and PET bottles.
Dimensions:
Width: 23 cm
Height: 29.5 cm
Maximum filling temperature is 80 °C. With good kitchen hygiene there is no risk of the juice fermenting. Normal pasteurisation temperature is 72–74 °C.
Pouch-up® pouches are filled using an ordinary funnel – see, for example, the stainless steel funnel, item number 3016e – after which the plastic stopper/tap is pushed in with light pressure. No tools of any kind are needed. If the stopper/tap hasn't been pushed all the way in, it can be removed again later with a firm, straight pull.
After use, the pouches can be rinsed and reused many times. During periods when you're not using pouches that have already been used once or more, you can keep them in the freezer until you need them again. Before reuse, they should be cleaned with a disinfecting cleaner, for example ChemiPro Oxi, item number 3018.
