Cooking in a pressure cooker cuts the cooking time – and therefore the energy consumption – by around 50%. Especially useful for pot roasts, stews and casseroles. Food cooked in a pressure cooker also often tastes better, as there is no evaporation during cooking.

The basket supplied is handy for steaming vegetables during the final stage of cooking, for example.

It is very important to read the manual carefully before using the pressure cooker for the first time, as a few aspects of pressure cooking are very different from other cooking methods.
